I’m Kayla! For many years, I have had the intention to craft my own candles. This pipe dream began when I asked a friend if she could save her old jars for me to use. From then to now, I have gained a clearer vision of what kind of candles I want to make as well as what they represent.

Wholistic Wicks is intentional and purposeful, from the name of the collection to what is inside each candle. My hope is that these candles enhance your holistic health and well-being. After all, who doesn’t like candles?

I have noticed how challenging it can be to find clean, fresh, honest aromas that fit the budget. Essential oils have been my answer to finding the aforementioned aromatic profile. My candles are aromatherapeutic, utilizing such.

The NAHA defines essential oils as “the art and science of utilizing natural extracted aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonize, and promote the health of the body, mind, and spirit.” The essential oils used in my candles are pure and natural for your holistic benefit.

Why wood wicks? For one reason, they crackle; it’s like having a miniature fireplace in your home! Wood wicks will, also, burn for longer periods of time. They may be tricky to light at first, but all you must do is have patience and tilt the wick toward at an angle you for a more efficient light.

I use soy wax for my candles considering it is a more environmentally conscious wax and encourages a longer burn. It contains no toxins or pollutants and is less likely to trigger allergies, so, the quality of soy wax is healthier for you, also.
